BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Vijay Srinivas Agneeswaran has joined as a post-doctoral researcher in LSIR lab with Prof. Karl Aberer. Vijay has finished up his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in India in 2007 (degree to be conferred) under Prof. D. Janakiram . His PhD work titled "A Scalable Fault-Tolerant Platform for Data Management in Peer-to-Peer Grids" focused on a virtual server based mechanism for integrating structured and unstructured P2P systems for replica management in large scale distributed systems.
Vijay had a short stint with Corporate Technology India, the research arm of Siemens at Bangalore while writing up his thesis simultaneously (Oct 2006 - April 2007); with the result being a European patent filing.

Prior to his PhD, Vijay was awarded the MS (By Research) degree from IIT Madras. He then went to AT&T R&D in New Jersey USA for a year, working on developing distributed software for billing systems, before coming back for his PhD.
