          Trust and Reputation Management

          Quality of Service (QoS)-based Service Discovery

          Peer-to-Peer Systems

          DIP-Data, Information, and Process Integration with Semantic Web Services
DIP's objective is to develop and extend Semantic Web and Web Service technologies in order to produce a new technology infrastructure for Semantic Web Services (SWS) - an environment in which different web services can discover and cooperate with each other automatically. DIP's long term mission is to deliver the enormous potential benefits of Semantic Web Services to e-Work and e-Commerce.

Our work in DIP targets the following main goals:

o    to model quality parameters of online services;

o    to specify and implement service semantic matchmaking and ranking algorithms given various QoS criteria and preferences of users;

o    to provide a scalable and efficient implementation of a QoS-enabled service discovery framework and evaluate it on realistic scenarios;

More information is available at the main download page of our  QoS discovery component.

         Reputation-based Trust in Decentralized Markets
The goal of this project is to study robust and scalable computational mechanisms for implementing reputation-based trust in decentralized markets. The project brings together competences from the three most relevant areas: experimental economics, software agents, and distributed information systems. As results, we expect new mechanisms for exploiting the reputation effect in decentralized system, as well as sofware implementations, and experimental evaluations of their properties.

An implementation of my framework for prototyping and simulation trust management algorithms can be found here
